I did a lot of digging and figured out everything I could about when it does and doesn't work. The option was enabled by default, but internal documentation about it from the Security team at work says it's not enforced (yet).Īfter upgrading to macOS 12.3 and iPadOS 15.4, one of my Macs refused to work with Universal Control. I cannot figure out why my work MBP refuses to support universal control.Įdit: I SOLVED IT!!! System Preferences>Security>Firewall>Firewall Options>"Block all incoming connections" was enabled and this blocks Universal Control. Both macs are running exactly the same macOS versions. I can do everything else that requires both devices to be on the same network and apple ID. Toggled bluetooth and wifi off and on again.Toggled System Preferences > Displays > Universal Control.Toggled System Preferences > General > Allow Handoff.I've tried so many different things to get it working, but nothing seems to work: Universal Control works flawlessly between my personal MacBook Pro (2016) and iPad Pro, but I cannot get it to work with work-issued MacBook Pro (2018) and the same iPad.
